Gmail : A Shortcut to Add a URL Link In an Email

Gmail offers the option to use keyboard shortcuts for quick access to several commands and features. Here is one more new shortcut that allows you to insert a URL in an email.

When posting a message, select the word or words that you want to add a hyperlink. Then press Control + K (Windows) or Cmd + K (Mac). The window that allows you to associate a URL link to the text will appear. You can edit the text to display and select the URL or email associated with the text.

To enable or disable Gmail shortcuts, click Settings , then select one of the options next section of keyboard shortcuts . Then in the tab General select the choice of keyboard shortcuts . You will find all the keyboard shortcuts available on Gmail here . When you are in the inbox of Gmail, you can view a list of shortcuts by pressing the ? button.
