Useful SEO tips to fight back after Google Panda Update

Long before Google introduced panda update many websites have problems regarding how their sites rank on the search engine for certain keywords. Companies were paying heavily to get good ranking but are not getting their investment back due bad SEO activities. Such activities include keyword stuffing and buying links from content farms. These are perpetrated by spammers, scammers and low quality sites and the activities have been noted by Google and the panda update is a way of cutting down on the poor links and content, and pushing good content to the top of the page ranking search.

So how do you as a site owner take charge and ensure that your site survives after every panda update by the almighty Google? These three basic illustrations will help guide you to a sustainable solution.

Quality content

The era of getting anyhow content into your website and backing it up with traditional seo is gone. Google only respect one thing and one thing only; clear, unique and precise content. It is only when two sites or pages have the same content quality that panda look at traditional seo to know which one to rank higher. It is a fact that search depends on keywords entered into the search quarry by people looking for useful information, but adding too much of the same keyword into an article will make your page ranking low, since this can be as keyword stuffing by the Google. Adding related keywords that are complimentary is the best option; to know if the keywords sinks read it aloud and ensure that you’re satisfied that it sounds natural.

You should also note that panda will rank great content without back links or traditional seo higher than poor or old content with all the implementations of traditional seo. People also discuss about the issue regarding the difference between writing for search engines and writing for users; basically it’s the same thing. Panda also rate based on all the content you have in the entire site and not just on one page, meaning that a site with one page of fresh content placed in a site filled with a sea of old stuffs will be ranked low.

User experience and design

Your site must be designed in a way that users find it easy to get in and extract any information they want. To get good ratings you must have the kind of design that help users landing on your page get the best of whatever they are looking for. So make sure your site design is simple and easy to navigate so they can move around without getting lost or confused. You should also make your site clear, in terms of communication and user-site interaction and completely avoid the use of huge texts and elaborate graphics. Your design must also be able to answer users’ questions that lead your visitors from the search quarries to your site; these and a few more are the aspects that panda looks for so it can rank your site high.

Link building and site metrics

Quality link building and site metrics have long been rewarded by Google. If you’re buying links then make sure that you buy links from sites with a wide variety of PR quality. Don’t buy all your links from sites with PR1, which will make it easy for Google to detect discrepancies and hit your site with a hammer. Instead, buy links from sites with pr1, pr2, pr3 and those with no pr at all. Your site should also have good metrics with low bounce rate, high engagement rate and high click-through rate.
